331 East Jackson Street, Coleman MI Build

We will be volunteering on the East Jackson Street home build located at 331 East Jackson Street, Coleman MI 48618. It is located a few blocks from Dollar General.

Volunteer shifts are limited to 20 per shift
Habitat will provide safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, and a hard hat (if needed for the tasks to be completed).
We highly recommend dressing to volunteer outside as some volunteer days will be working on the exterior of the home.
- Also, the homes do not have heat or air conditioning, please dress for the weather.
- Closed toe shoes are required, tennis shoes are fine, boots are recommended. Flip flops, dress shoes, high heels will not be permitted on the job site.
- Volunteers cannot wear tank tops on the job site. Shorts are allowed, jeans or long pants are recommended. If wearing a skirt, it must be knee length or longer for safety concerns
- We suggest wearing sunscreen
- Closed toe shoes are required, NO FLIP FLOPS OR DRESS SHOES, tennis shoes or boots are recommended.
The build site does not have a functioning restroom, a portajohn is on site
Habitat will provide water, but feel free to bring your own water bottle or snacks/beverages.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not have space on site to store volunteer belongings. Be prepared to keep any belongings you bring (such as a purse) on you, we do recommend leaving personal items in your vehicle for safe keeping.
When parking, DO NOT park on both sides of the road. Keep the road way open for service and emergency vehicles and DO NOT block any neighboring driveways or mailboxes.

Volunteer Opportunities

Jackson Street Build Day - March 12, 2026 We will be working on "Conditioning" the crawl space for this volunteer event. The crawl space is clean and about 4ft tall, so volunteers will want to be okay being with being in a smaller place, but it is warm and clean. We will provide lunch for all volunteers on this day.
